Researchers work to connect the Bivacor artifical heart to a testing harness. The Bivacor heart is a centrifugal pump with a single moving part — a rotating disk, which is suspended in its casing via magnetic levitation to avoid the rapid wear and tear exhibited by traditional artificiat heart devices.
