Crypto AG HX-63 Cipher Machine

Overhead view of the HX-63 rotor and printer assemblies. The machine features nine electrically wired permutations wheels, or rotors, that have more contacts than the 26 letters of the alphabet. The machine could be set up in around 10^600 different configurations – the equivalent of a 2000-bit encryption key.
